Gaming Room - Terms and Conditions

  1. The Gaming Room is used entirely at your own risk, and The Gamers’ Emporium accepts no liability for loss or damage howsoever caused.
  2. The Gamers' Emporium charges a daily entry fee for use of the Gaming Room. The fee will be advertised in store and may change from time to time at the discretion of the management. Discounted yearly membership rates may also be available.
  3. The entry fee covers use of the Gaming Room, and allows for use of the supplied gaming tables, scenery and store-copy demonstration games within the store.
  4. Whilst browsing the Store and using the Gaming Room, you agree to comply with our Family-Friendly Language and Drugs and Alcohol Policies (see below).
  5. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian whilst in store at all times.
  6. With the prior agreement of the management, children younger than 13 may be left unaccompanied in store for the duration of specific events only. Parents retain responsibility for their children in these cases, and our staff will not be responsible for the care of these children.
  7. At busy periods we may operate a table priority system, giving preferential seating to groups participating in certain events or playing the day's “theme” (as advertised on our website). Staff members may ask you to vacate or share your table to facilitate the most efficient use of seating.
  8. Swinging on chairs is prohibited. If you are observed to swing on a chair which subsequently breaks, you agree to pay for the replacement cost of that chair.
  9. Food and drink which has not been bought in store IS permitted in the Gaming Room.
  10. Model-making and painting IS permitted in the Gaming Room. Please use a cutting board/paint-station rather than the surface of the table.
  11. Spray undercoating of models IS NOT permitted in the Gaming Room.
  12. You must tidy up after yourself and make use of the bins provided. Failure to do so will lead to you being refused entry to the gaming room.
  13. Customers are requested to maintain a reasonable standard of personal hygiene whilst using the Gaming Room and browsing the Store.

The Gamers' Emporium - Family Friendly Language Policy

  1. This store is a family-friendly store and we would request that customers moderate their language so as not to cause offence.
  2. Customers should avoid swearing, or using discriminatory language whilst in store, regardless of whether children are actually present.
  3. Customers should avoid discussing topics of a sexual or explicit nature whilst in store, regardless of whether children are actually present.
  4. Customers who are unable to comply with 1-3 above will be given a warning (if they were previously unaware of the policy) and reminded of the scope of this policy by the member of staff on duty.
  5. If a customer persists in using inappropriate language after receiving a warning (regardless of when that warning was issued), they will be asked to leave the store, and will forfeit any entrance fees paid that day.
  6. If a customer is asked to leave the store due to this policy, they are welcome to return to the store on the following day.
  7. If a customer persistently refuses to comply with this policy, the management reserve the right to extend the duration of the ban as required.

The Gamers' Emporium – Drugs and Alcohol Policy

  1. If you are caught drinking alcohol or smoking/ingesting/injecting/selling drugs (or so-called "legal highs") on the premises, you will be banned from the store for life.
  2. We will also pass your details to the police, along with CCTV evidence for drugs related incidents.
  3. We will notify all other gaming stores that we have contact with throughout the UK that you have been banned from our store and why, and will ask them to consider extending the ban to their premises as well.
  4. Furthermore, the people you are gaming with that day will receive a 3 month ban from our store.
  5. The only exception to 4. will be if it is the people you are gaming with who make us aware that you are taking drugs or drinking in store.
  6. At the management's discretion, this policy will also apply if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs in store, even if they were not taken/consumed in store.
